January 24, 2014 Length Check
☑ Front Right Side: 17.5 inches
☑ Front Left Side: 17.5 inches
☑ Back Side: 16.5 inches

Next Length Check and update will be in about 8 weeks!

The Plan To Retain Length Length for the next 8 weeks:
I will be wearing Senegalese twist for 4-8 weeks.
I am hoping to go the full 8 weeks with the twist in, but I don’t know how long they will last.
So, we will see. I will give an update on the twist soon!

  1. GREAT blog and video Alicia! You already know I’m gonna join you my friend! I’m excited, I really want to retain a lot of length this year! I haven’t done any official length checks, just sporadic pictures here and there! But I’m going to get out the tape measurer and do it the right way! I’ve shared with you before that I was natural for 7 good years before I found YT and all your wonderful videos! I started my hair journey March 21, 2012! So I’ll be 9 years natural very soon, I’m coming up on 2 years of healthy hair care already! Oh yeah, I just put my two strand twists back in girl after 3 weeks of buns, yes I finally felt confident enough to wear a bun in public! I can work out with the bun and my hair looks decent afterwards, so thanks for that tip! But it’s a whole process for me, I start on stretched hair, I do a flat twist out with flax seed gel to eliminate frizz and to get some kind of curl definition going on and then I bun it up! Thanks for all your tips, positivity and feedback, your blog is AMAZING! I know you will reach your goal again! My goal is waist length and I feel like because I have a long torso it takes longer for me to grow to certain lengths, but I’m up for the challenge, we can do it! Thanks again!

  2. Superb website you have here but I was curious if you knew of any forums that cover the same
topics talked about in this article? I’d really like to be a part of group where I can get opinions from
other experienced individuals that share the same interest.
If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Kudos!
