  1. you’ve definitely gotten more length. and your twists look great! how long do you plan to keep them in for?

  2. You have retained all of your growth that’s good…It shows you have been taking good care of your hair and body…

  3. Wow that is a huge difference! Amazing.. by predictable how so? I wld be interested to knw how youve been able to predict it?

  4. I just mean that I have been able to consistently retain length for the past year. My hair grows at about 1/2 an inch a month on average. This is the growth I usually see every month. 🙂

  5. Yes Alicia, that’s the same thing I said. However I did add, oh she must have added extensions too! NOT, that your hair couldn’t bet that long. It just looked sooooo long, and I wasn’t thinking it had grown that long yet. YOU GO GIRL!! IT’S A JOURNEY I KNOW YOU’RE PROUD OF!! =)

It’s amazing how just with taking care of it and low manipulation, it just grows. My daughter is wanting me to straighten mines becausE she tHinks it’s grown a lot. We’ll see. Good job Alicia!

  6. How do you maintain the twists?

  7. I wrap them at night and tie down with a satin scarf. 🙂

  8. So how do you clean your hair with the twists in? Esp. since you work out. I have twists in now, about 30 but I want to make them smaller so I can style them differently, but do not want to have to take them down every week and redo. Thx! 🙂

  9. you say you don’t wash again until next retwist- any tips on freshening up hair? would appreciate as am aiming to wear my twist for longer periods… normally don’t go more than a week and a half at best and losing too much hair (volume wise) even tho i like my length

  10. Do you wash your hair while you’re twists are in?… Or do you take them down, wash, and then retwist?

  11. When working out, I pull all of my hair up in a pineapple or I keep wrapped or braided. I don’t usually wash my hair in twist, the tangle are horrible. Every week or so, I will use my oil to massage my scalps, but my scalps don’t really get irritated. This is for my hair though. If you feel like you need to clean your scalp, you can try a dry shampoo. This way you can maintain your style. 🙂

  12. I massage my scalps with oil weekly. The twist do start to get frizzy after a week, so I like to add curls using bantu knots, braid outs, or twist outs. This helps to keep the twist looking nice. 🙂

  13. No, I do not wash my hair while wearing twist. I leave my mini twist in for about four weeks, and then take down for a wash. 🙂

  14. how? i can get mine to stop breaking to save my life ive tried all kinds of hair stuff

  15. There could be several reasons why your hair is breaking or you are not retaining length.
I have a blog that I did on how to examine your regimen to find what things could be keeping you retaining length and growing healthy hair.
I hope it helps you. Let me know how things are going in the next few weeks or so. 🙂
